Hi. I’m Jarrod. Welcome to Playing Off the Tracks. Here’s a quick introduction.

Playing Off the Tracks is dedicated to practical content about gamemastering, worldbuilding and roleplaying. Here you’ll find  tips for gamemasters and players, plot hooks, house rules, new settings, musings on the hobby, and even my own roleplaying games and supplements.

We all value our time, so I will focus on content to help you get the most out of your game, improve your improv, prep less and play more, and be joyfully surprised while running your games. I run regular small group games and duets (one player, one gamemaster). I’ll focus my gamemastery advice around my experience, but it should apply to most groups.
